No-bake Energy Balls
If you need something tasty to satisfy the afternoon munchies then try some of these!
These energy balls are quick and easy to make and loved by everyone.
These are also adaptable so you can substitute or add in some of your favourite ingredients.
Ingredients
½ cup peanut butter (or favourite nut butter)
⅓ cup raw honey
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup raw rolled oats
⅔ cup coconut flakes
½ cup ground flaxseed powder
6 tablespoons dark chocolate chips
2 tablespoons chia seeds (optional)
2 tablespoons hemp seeds (optional)
Method
Stir together peanut butter, honey and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl. Add remaining ingredients and stir until evenly coated.
Shape the mixture into balls with damp hands and transfer mixture to fridge or freezer to chill until set. If you don’t like getting your hands dirty, you can shape them after the mixture has chilled and set slightly.
Store in refrigerator in an airtight container.
It’s that simple.
Notes
Add raw cacao powder or carob powder to the mix to make chocolate energy balls.
