Jerusalem Toffees (baked dates)
There isn’t much of a recipe for Jerusalem Toffees, but it has to be shared.
Jerusalem Toffees are simply gooey and chewy baked dates. Slightly crispy on the outside and soft and gooey on the inside.
They are fast becoming my go-to sweet treat. Next I have to try these covered in chocolate.
Dates are Great for:
- Weight loss
- Relieving constipation, supporting regular bowel movements

- Haemorrhoid prevention
- Chronic conditions such as arthritis
- Reducing colitis risk
- Preventing colon cancer

Arrange dried whole dates in a baking dish and place in the oven for 30 – 45 minutes, or until the outside of the dates becomes slightly hard. 30 minutes if you prefer them slightly softer and up to 45 minutes if you prefer them to be more chewy.
Remove from oven and transfer the dates to a plate to cool. Eat warm from the oven or cool and store in an airtight container.
