Carrot Juice
Errr, what’s up doc?
My morning begins with either a fresh veggie juice or a smoothie. After getting a juicer for Christmas I’ve been experimenting with different juices and boy am I enjoying it!
One of my staples is carrot Juice.
Carrots are naturally sweet and the best-tasting of the veggie juices. Packed with antioxidants and vitamins, carrot juice is a great immune-boosting, skin-clearing, digestion-supporting drink.
And with added pineapple (which aids digestion and reduces inflammation) and a few cabbage leaves (which are full of anti-cancer nutrients and helps soothe tummy troubles and ulcers) this drink is a powerful and healing way to start your morning.
I honestly love ginger so I add it to all my juices. Not only do I love the taste, but there are so many reasons to add ginger to your diet. Ginger improves digestion and circulation, and relieves bloating, sore throats and inflammation.
Ingredients
4 carrots
1/2 pineapple
2 large cabbage leaves
1cm ginger (optional)
Method
Simply juice and serve over ice.
Drink immediately on an empty stomach.
What are your favourite juice combinations?
Almond Milk
I LOVE milk! I can't do without it. When I heard I needed to cut out dairy from my diet I settled for store-bought rice milk, but it is sooo expensive! My sister-in-law recommended I try almond milk as an alternative. So I gave it a try and I'm hooked! Working out...
